THE THINKER POSE

So, I am sure that you probably have noticed that our company REALLY loves the thinker pose! We wanted to fill you in on the reason for that choice.

The legendary Group Theatre of the 1930's was one of the biggest inspirations for the formation of our company. They were "thinkers" who made an indelible mark on the evolution of American Acting and American Theatre. Some of the greatest names in American Theatre history... Harold Clurman, Lee Strasberg, Cheryl Crawford, Stella Adler, Sanford Meisner, Elia Kazaan, and Clifford Odetts... were all members of the Group. For all you theatre people out there... run out and grab a copy of Harold Clurman's The Fervent Years or Wendy Smith's Real Life Drama. Those books changed our lives.

Our hopes, ideals, and visions for the future are completely intertwined with the passions of this legendary American ensemble. So just like our predecessors, we are "thinkers" philosophizing about new ways to improve the overall health of American Theatre. We have great hopes that our mission will make an indelible mark on American Theatre and our world. And just for your information, we will be taking a picture of all of us in the thinker pose with every person we interview on our tour! How cool is that?!!!!
