PROJECT KNOWLEDGE- Day 3

Enroute to Van Horn, Texas

We departed Scottsdale at 6:30 am for a 9 hour drive. Destination: Van Horn, Texas. We drove through desert, desert, and more desert as we ventured from Arizona to New Mexico to Texas. It was a beautiful ride and we arrived at the Van Horn KOA Campground just in time to see an amazing sunset at our first campground stop. It's funny... but none of us have ever travelled in RV's before. The boys had a great time figuring out how to hook up the water and the electricity. They had an even better time learning how to drain the sewage! (wow!) We ate a perfect dinner under the stars and spent the night prepping for the days ahead. Our time in Vanhorn was calm, sleepy, and simply brilliant. We have another 9 hour drive tomorrow and can't wait to end our day with Mike Daisey's Great Men of Genius: Bertold Brecht performance at the Out of the Loop Fringe Festival in Addison, Texas. By the way, our dog Junior loves the driver's seat these days!!!!
