This week The Transcendence Theatre Company focused on doing what we love, with the people we love, in service to the world. April 4, 2009 was a life changing and life empowering experience for all of us as we spent a day with the children of Casa De Paz Orphanage. We teamed up for a day of fun with our friends Prabhat Gautam and Carolina Quezada and a group of volunteers from Los Angeles who work closely with an amazing organization called Corazon De Vida. (www.corazondevida.org) Casa De Paz houses 45 children including a number of special needs children. We spent the day playing interactive theatre games filled with themes of passion and joy. The kids truly loved laughing as they sang and danced amidst getting their face painted and sending balloon animals soaring into the air! At the end of this perfect day we invited the children to their own special performance at The Gertrude Pearlman Theatre that will take place on April 25. Our experience at Casa de Paz was by far one of the most memorable moments of our lives. Our week concluded on another high note as we donated all of our proceeds from our encore production of “Living A New Dream” to financially sponsor a high school education for two underprivileged children in Punta Banda. It has been an unstoppable week for all of us! We are so grateful that everyday we are inspired by all of the amazing people we meet in this incredible community!
